The Mexican Fire Leg is a very attractive looking tarantulas in the hobby today. A bright rust to red color is decorated with fluffy looking setae/hairs all over their legs.
Unlike other Mexican species these are not as “cuddly” as they look and are a skittish/nervous species that is very prone to flicking urticating bristles for almost no reason as it is an “New world Species” They will even flick their urticalating hairs when you are feeding or just touching their enclosure, This is another tarantula that does not mind sitting in the open for display, However they are opportunistic borrowers and tend to stay hidden for long periods at a time.
