They are an arboreal species, it is a fast moving spider, running rather than being defensive. It is also a fairly reclusive tarantula, staying in its hide for most of the day. Not a good display tarantula they tend to hide most of the day and most of them will tend to hide and will almost never be seen.
Psalmopoeus reduncus, more commonly known as the Costa Rican Orange Mouth Tarantula, is an arboreal “new world” tarantula. This species is named for the orange hairs around its chelicerae and is known for its speed, as well. An optimal habitat for this tarantula includes cork and leaves to hide in.
